How to Crochet a SOLID GRANNY SQUARE: Easy Beginner-Friendly Pattern

This pattern creates a seamless and flat square with a unique geometric design. It is perfect for beginners as it uses only single crochet stitches and an increase of three to form the square shape. You can use any type of yarn and a matching hook to create squares of your desired size. 


Materials:

- Yarn of your choice (the video uses cotton yarn)

- Crochet hook that matches your yarn size

Abbreviations:

- sc - single crochet

- st - stitch

- ch - chain

- sl st - slip stitch

- mc - magic circle/ring

- rep - repeat

Special Stitch:

- Increase of three: work 3 single crochet stitches into the same stitch


Instructions:

**Step 1:** Start with a magic circle. Ch 1, work 8 sc into the magic circle. Pull the tail to close the circle tightly.

**Step 2:** Row 2: Work an increase of three into the first st, sc in the next st. *Increase of three in the next st, sc in the following st.* Rep from * to * around. You should have four sets of increases, forming the four corners of the square. Do not join with a slip stitch; work in a continuous spiral.

**Step 3:** Row 3: Sc in each st until you reach the center stitch of the increase from the previous row. Work an increase of three into this center st. Sc in each st until you reach the next center stitch of the increase. Repeat the increase of three in this stitch. Continue this pattern around, creating a new "round" of increases. 

**Step 4:** Repeat Step 3 for each subsequent row, always working an increase of three into the center stitch of the increases from the previous row. This will create the square shape and the unique geometric lines. 

**Step 5:** Continue crocheting in this pattern until your square reaches the desired size. End with a slip stitch to finish off, and weave in any loose ends. 

**Note:** You can change colors as desired or create multiple squares in different colors to join for a blanket or cardigan project. These squares are versatile and can be used for a variety of projects, including bags, blankets, and clothing items.

How to Crochet Bucket Hat .Or how I transform my Bag into a Hat.

Hey guys!! Today I am inviting you to see how I recycle my crochet bag into my crochet Hat. I had many Bags but not even one hat. And all I wanted is crochet Bucket 👒.  So I thought to do an experiment and see how any crochet circle can become a crochet bucket hat. I made some  mistakes on my way but at the end I got a very perfect looking hat. At the beginning I left a circle too big about 20 cm but later I shrinkeeduced it too 18 cm. And it became just right!! My circle starts with 8 sc but you can also start with 6 sc.       R1: Magic Circle 8sc => 8 stitches R2: inc 1 st in every st => 16 stitches R3: inc 1 st in every 2 st => 24 stitches R4: inc 1 st in every 3 st => 32 stitches R5: inc 1st in every 4 st => 40 stitches etc. Then I crochet for 7 cm with no increase.
