P.S. Please contact us if you want to share your crochet journey with us. CROCHET STORY OF no_way_crochet :  h ttps://instagram.com/no__way__crochet?igshid=1tyodo7uif7cr I very much fell into the world of crochet and it was honestly the best thing to ever happen.  I lost my nan January 2020 and 3 days prior to her death my sister told me she was pregnant with her first baby. My nan had made me a blanket when I was born which was a big comfort to me growing up and I still have it to this day, 26 years later. She had also taught me to knit as a child and so I decided I was going to knit the baby a blanket in homage to her.    I had never made anything more than practice rows of a scarf so I decided I was going to do squares for a patchwork blanket. I then learned the best way to add the squares together was to crochet them. Then with a gifted hook from a friend and a YouTube I figured how to crochet the squares together and even managed to crochet his initials to

Learning to knit or to crochet must be on the to-do list of a modern woman.  Don't think that they are just for grandmothers. In fact, there are a lot of useful benefits in crocheting or knitting  that you most likely did not think about.   1. It will give you a sense of pride and satisfaction .   Nowadays, not so many people know how to crochetor knit.  Bragging about what you have created to those who have no idea how to do it will bring you a lot of pleasure from the attention and compliments you receive.  Plus, you can also get so many orders for scarves that you might not even be able to handle them.   2. You will get the same benefits as from meditation.   After you muster these skills and they  become something mundane for you, that is, you will not  check your every step, when  the whole process will be programmed and  your brain begin to relax, you will begin to relax deeply .  Rhythmic, repetitive movement and relaxation have the same benefits to y

The legendary net bag of Tik Tok

Image
The video with this bag was shared on Tik tok by @celanicole and got more than 1000000 views and inspired hundreds of people to start learning how to crochet.   I was extremely touched by the fact that celanicole actually recreated my bag with such details and her bags looks identical to mine on YouTube tutorial!!  It is an awesome experience because everytime I record a tutorial I wish all my viwers can succeed in achieving the final result.  It is sometimes clear to me how to make the crochet item but it is not easy to make it clear for everyone just by recording a video tutorial.  So it is very rewarding to see people actually make what you are trying to teach in the video.  I received many comments from complete beginners that they watched this video and made a beautiful net bag. It is so perfect for everyday life and so easy to make. If you still didn't crochet it is high time to make one. Here the tick tock link: https://vt.tiktok.com/ZSTefJ9Y/ Here th

How to make a magic ring/ amigurumi circle /magic circle

Image
There are several ways to make a ring in crocheting. The most classic is  to join  a chain in a circle. However, this option is not suitable if you need to remove the hole in the center of the ring. In this case, the so-called "magic ring" comes to the rescue. The picture on the left shows a ring, the beginning of which was a chain, and on the right - a magic ring. As you can see, there is no hole in the center at all. The idea of the method is that the initial row is crochet into a ring formed from yarn. Then it tightens without leaving any visible hole. Description. Place the  yarn  over your index and middle fingers. Wrap it once around your fingers. Pinch the intersection of the working yarn and the tail with your index and thumb. Insert the hook into the resulting ring and pull out the working yarn, forming a loop.  Grab the working yarn and pull it through the loop on the hook. Insert the hook into the ring, pull out the thread. Grab the working yarn and pull it through

International Crochet Day

Image
Perhaps an American crochet hook cutter joked in 2007 when he announced an international crochet holiday on his blog, but the idea received worldwide support, and now fans of this hobby celebrate the holiday with handicraft exhibitions, flash mobs, master classes and just friendly gatherings. For crochet enthusiasts, both beginners and experienced, the day of September 12 has become the date when they  can  demonstrate their skills, and the results of creativity  by participating in events  related to this holiday. Most often, this wonderful holiday is celebrated by holding flash mobs, master classes, demonstrations, exhibitions, as well as simply sharing photos through social networks. It is believed that crochet technique has an ancient history, but it is documented that it appeared and became widespread only in the early 19th century. At the same time, crochet gained popularity at once in all layers of society. Both the wealthy and the poor were fond crocheting. Subsequently, this h
