Crochet Granny Square Bag Easy Pattern
Crochet Granny Square bag or basket and even can be called a box can be used for multiple of purposes. I am going to use for yarn storage, someone on my instagram making as a lunch bag, bathroom and kitchen storage. Granny Squares are so versatile and recently I can't stop making them. The spring is coming and yhey let me play with bright color combinations. Each Granny square is so easy to join with others to make something big and beautiful. You are absolutely free to use this granny squares pattern or use others to create such shape bag. All you need is to crochet 5 same size squares. My squares are 21 cm but the size can be customised
Here is how to crochet Popcorn stitch Granny Square
1 row 8sc into Magic Ring
2 row 2dc into each sc othe previous row ( 16dc)
3 row Chain 5, 1dc, chain 2, 1dc into each stitch (you will have 16 squares or 16 dc), sl st into Chain3
4 row Sl st under chain 2 space,( 1 pop corn stitch and chain 3 make 1 pop corn stitch under chain 2 space)* ( 16 popcorn stitches)
5 row ((1 popcorn stitch chain 3)*4 , chain 8 )*4 (16 popcorn stitches)
6 row (( 1 popcorn stitch, chain 3) *3, chain 2 , 6dc, chain 3 , 6 dcv)*4
7 row (( 1popcorn stitch, chain 3)*2, chain 2, 1dc into chain 2 space, 6 dc, (2 dc, chain 3, 2 dc into chain3 space), 6dc, 1dc into chain 2 space, chain 2)*4
8 row (1 popcorn stitch, chain 2, 1 dc into chain 2 space, 9 dc, (2 dc, chain 3, 2 dc into chain3 space), 9dc, 1dc into chain 2 space, chain 2)*4
You can finish with 1 row of dc and making corners ( 2dc, chain 3, 2 dc) and you can make as many more rows of double crochet as you wish.
1 Row Start with chain3, 3dc, (1tr, 3 dc)*3, sl st in chain 3
2 Row (and like that crochet each row until you get the size you want)
(Chain 3, 2dc, into the same stitch where you slip stitch), (3dc, ( 2dc, 1tr, 2 dc into the treble stitch of the previous row))*3, 2dc, sl st into chain of 3
