How to crochet a solid Granny Square

Image
I guess we all love the look of Granny Squares, they are also fast to make and very versatile.    In this tutorial I am sharing how to crochet a solid Granny Square without any holes.    This design is super beautiful and easy to make. You can make them with one color or multiple of different colors.  You can use this pattern to make one solid blanket or to make many and join them later. I love to use this pattern as a bottom of my bags or baskets so nothings is going to fall of them.   Written Pattern   You can start or with a chain and slip stitch to make a ring. Or simply make a magic ring which I prefer since there would be no hole in the middle.  1 Row Start with chain3, 3dc, (1tr, 3 dc)*3, sl st in chain 3 2 Row (and like that crochet each row until you get the size you want) (Chain 3, 2dc, into the same stitch where you slip stitch), (3dc, ( 2dc, 1tr, 2 dc into the treble stitch of the previous row))*3, 2 dc,  sl st into chain of 3

"I love to crochet but also, I’m passionate about all yarn techniques. I travel often and take inspiration from the textures and the essence of the places I visit. I prefer natural materials and strive to have ecological business practices. In my shop, you will discover lots of unique baby gifts as well as encouragement to follow your dreams creatively. Find me as crochet_jazmina on Instagram" My shop on Etsy is Stitch kids boutique you can also find me under this name on Facebook and Pinterest." INSTAGRAM: @crochet_jazmina   Tip 1.  When making amigurumis always crochet in the round, do not join rounds. I like to mark the first stitch of the round with a stitch marker or a little piece of yarn in a contrasting color. This is also super handy to count the rounds.   Tip 2.  I recommend going 1-1.5 size down on the hook, so the stuffing doesn’t show between the stitches. This will give your dolls a more professional look.

CROCHET STORY OF no_way_crochet :  h ttps://instagram.com/no__way__crochet?igshid=1tyodo7uif7cr I very much fell into the world of crochet and it was honestly the best thing to ever happen.  I lost my nan January 2020 and 3 days prior to her death my sister told me she was pregnant with her first baby. My nan had made me a blanket when I was born which was a big comfort to me growing up and I still have it to this day, 26 years later. She had also taught me to knit as a child and so I decided I was going to knit the baby a blanket in homage to her.    I had never made anything more than practice rows of a scarf so I decided I was going to do squares for a patchwork blanket. I then learned the best way to add the squares together was to crochet them. Then with a gifted hook from a friend and a YouTube I figured how to crochet the squares together and even managed to crochet his initials to
